Safety Statement
The leadership of American Piping Services, Inc. (APP) will pursue all feasible and practical actions necessary to provide a safe and healthful place of employment for our associates, to promote and encourage a proactive safety culture, and to reasonably protect all personnel involved in any project or job that APP undertakes.
Accidents interfere with the orderly progress of our work and are indications of an inefficient operation. Actions to prevent losses begin and continue throughout the entire system of a work order. APP is committed to providing sufficient resources for training and increased awareness during day-to-day operations by conducting safety reviews. By adhering to a strict safety review schedule, APP believes it controls accidents, provides a safer environment, improves productivity and lowers cost, resulting in a more satisfied customer. Maintaining the necessary awareness will be the top priority of all management and lead personnel at APP.
It is our intent not only to comply with, but exceed in most cases all local, state and federal safety and environmental standards, codes, laws and regulations, as well as all customer requirements. APP expects every employee to perform their job with safety in mind while on the job. The programs in place to promote safety include:
- Preventive maintenance programs for equipment.
- Daily and monthly equipment inspection.
- Weekly safety meetings.
- Alcohol and drug policies.
- Company work rules.
- Progressive discipline procedures.
